MSVPAC accepting nominations for directors

21 July 2011

The Medical Society of Virginia Political Action Committee (MSVPAC) is accepting recommendations for individuals to serve on the MSVPAC board of directors for several board seats with terms expiring in October.
MSVPAC directors are elected to two-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms. The MSVPAC board is responsible for MSVPAC political fundraising activities, as well as approving contributions made to friends of medicine running for office in the General Assembly.

Physician members of the MSVPAC board must either live or work within the MSV district that they represent. The board has vacancies in the following MSV districts:

District 1
District 2
District 6
District 8
District 10

Later this year, the MSVPAC nominating committee, chaired by MSVPAC Immediate Past Chairman, Rolfe White, M.D., will evaluate the recommended candidates and forward a slate to the MSVPAC Board for approval at the MSVPAC’s meeting in conjunction with the MSV Annual Meeting at The Homestead.
