MSVPAC board calls for nominations

Do you care about the influence of money in politics? Do you want to see more friends of medicine in the Virginia General Assembly making sensible decisions about how to improve patient care and relieve burdens on the practice of medicine? If yes, have you ever considered getting more involved with the Medical Society of Virginia Political Action Committee (MSVPAC)?

MSVPAC is MSV’s political arm. Its vision and core purpose is to make Virginia the best place in which to practice medicine, advance quality health care for the citizens of the commonwealth, and prevent opponents from damaging it. MSVPAC strives to achieve the most favorable political arena for MSV to accomplish its goals.

The MSVPAC nominating committee will consider all nominees as it develops a slate to fill the vacant seats on the MSVPAC board. New directors will be elected at the MSVPAC board meeting held in conjunction with the MSV Annual Meeting. Physician members of the MSVPAC board are elected to two year terms and may serve up to two consecutive terms. The MSVPAC board meets approximately four times a year, primarily via conference call.
