MSV Political Action Committee

Register for AMPAC 2011 political education programs

28 January 2011

On Feb. 18 - 20, 2011 the American Medical Association's Political Action Committee (AMPAC) will host the annual Candidate Workshop in Pentagon City, Virginia. The workshop is designed for AMA members, their spouses and state society staff who are considering a run for public office. Graduates from programs in the last five years have been elected to offices all across the county, from city council to state Senate, to state Board of Education, all the way to the United States House of Representatives. The workshop includes training on campaign strategy and media advertising, as well as hands-on sessions in public speaking and fundraising.

All costs for AMA members, except transportation to the Washington, D.C. metro area, are borne by AMPAC, which is a tremendous benefit of AMA membership. The program, along with the April 13 - 17 Campaign School, is held at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington, VA, a quick cab ride from Reagan National Airport (DCA). For more information on this program or an application, please see AMPAC's new online registration form at www.ampaconline.org/apply or contact Jim Wilson, political education programs manager, at jim.wilson@ama-assn.org.

Will there be a similar training in 2012 or in 2011?
